Buyer problem

Why this service needs control

Many production problems appear before final inspection: wrong material, wrong color, weak packaging, logo mistakes, poor workmanship, incorrect parts, missing accessories or unstable process control.

!If the buyer waits until the whole batch is finished, correction may become expensive, slow or impossible. The factory may already have repeated the same mistake across most of the order.
!Factories may say production is normal, but the buyer still needs practical evidence: photos, videos, material status, first-output details, packaging preparation and comments from the China side.
!For custom, branded, packaging-sensitive or repeat orders, early inspection helps catch issues before they spread through the entire batch and before balance payment pressure begins.
!During production inspection is useful when the buyer has known risk points: color tolerance, logo position, material thickness, assembly quality, packaging strength, label accuracy, accessory matching or SKU separation.
!Without early QC, final pre-shipment inspection may become only a damage report. The buyer learns about problems when the goods are already finished, packed and harder to rework.
Process

How we handle the work in China

1

We clarify order details, approved sample, specifications, product photos, packaging

We clarify order details, approved sample, specifications, product photos, packaging requirements, quantity, production status and key risk points before planning the check.

2

We confirm with the supplier or factory when production has started and which goods

We confirm with the supplier or factory when production has started and which goods, components, materials, packaging or partial output are available for inspection.

3

We define the inspection focus

We define the inspection focus: material, workmanship, color, logo, labels, accessories, packaging, measurements, first output, process consistency or known defect risks.

4

We check visible in-process goods

We check visible in-process goods, first batch, semi-finished items, production setup, materials or packaging against the buyer’s requirements where access and timing allow.

5

We document findings with photos

We document findings with photos, videos, notes and issue descriptions, focusing on practical correction before the batch is completed.

6

We flag problems such as color mismatch

We flag problems such as color mismatch, wrong logo, poor finishing, missing parts, weak packaging, unstable workmanship, unclear sample match or schedule risk.

Deliverables

What the buyer receives

  • During production inspection notes based on available in-process goods, materials, packaging or production stage.
  • Photo and video evidence of checked goods, components, packaging, labels, workmanship, visible defects or production details where access allows.
  • Issue list with practical comments on defects, mismatch, packaging risk, production concerns or points needing supplier correction.
  • Comparison against approved sample, order specification, buyer-provided photos or agreed requirements where available.
  • Risk notes showing whether the issue may affect the full batch, final QC, packaging, shipment timing or balance payment decision.
  • Recommended next step before final QC, shipment, container loading or balance payment: correction, recheck, follow-up, inspection focus or buyer decision.
  • Coordination summary for supplier communication so the buyer can request correction using clear evidence rather than vague complaints.
  • Public-safe handling of supplier and order information. Supplier contacts, WeChat IDs, phone numbers, payment details and restricted production notes are not exposed publicly.
Limits and trust

What we control and what must be checked

During production inspection is not a full final inspection of the whole batch. It checks available in-process goods, partial output, materials or production stages at the inspection moment.

iThis service helps catch problems early, but it does not guarantee the final shipment unless production follow-up and final pre-shipment inspection are also arranged where needed.
iAccuracy depends on factory access, production timing, approved sample quality, clear specification and whether enough goods or components are available during the visit.
iFor technical, safety-critical, regulated or laboratory-level testing, third-party lab testing or specialist inspection may be required beyond visible in-process QC.
iEarly inspection is strongest when the buyer has clear non-negotiable points: material, color, logo, size, packaging, label, accessory, function or defect limits.
iUYiwu reports what is visible and practical from the China side. The buyer remains responsible for final commercial decisions such as rework request, order continuation, payment hold or deeper inspection.
FAQ

Common questions

When should during production inspection be done?

It is usually useful after production has started and first goods, components, packaging or partial output are available, but before the whole batch is finished.

Is this the same as pre-shipment inspection?

No. During production inspection checks in-process goods or production status early. Pre-shipment inspection checks finished goods before balance payment, loading or shipment.

Can it prevent the whole batch from being wrong?

It can reduce the risk by catching visible problems early and giving the buyer a chance to request correction, but it is not a guarantee of the entire batch.

What do you need from the buyer?

We need approved sample photos, product specification, order quantity, packaging requirements, logo files, defect concerns, supplier contact, factory location and current production status.

Should I still do final QC?

For important orders, yes. During production inspection is an early control step; final QC checks finished goods before shipment and supports the balance payment decision.

Can you check packaging during production?

Yes, when packaging materials or first packed goods are available. We can check visible packaging, labels, carton marks, inserts, SKU separation and buyer-provided packing requirements.
